CMI™ Rope Jack™

The CMI™ Rope Jack™ is a mechanical advantage climbing tool designed for pre-tensioning static lines, light lifting, and cabling. Ideal for climbers, the Rope Jack™ is compact and lightweight, providing a mechanical advantage in the crown. With its adjustable contact surfaces, it accommodates a wide range of rope sizes, allowing you to easily adjust friction to meet your specific needs. It is designed to be used by a single individual with one hand.

This practical and quick device opens and closes in seconds, allowing you to install or remove a rope mid-line without disconnecting from the harness. The CMI™ Rope Jack™ is approved for life support use, but be sure to use another progression capture device in conjunction. Never use it alone for transporting people or heavy loads.

With the Rope Jack™, you can easily remove slack and stretch the rope for descents or lift the tips of light branches without the need for bulkier equipment. Its 3:1 mechanical advantage is achieved without the use of pulleys or extra ropes, reducing weight and friction for quick and efficient use.

The CMI™ Rope Jack™ is designed for static ropes from 3/8 to 5/8 inches in diameter, and tests have shown that it can generate between 300 and 800 pounds of force. Be sure to handle it correctly by gradually relieving tension from each cam.
