Frequently Asked Questions

Eligibility for Free Shipping:
• Free shipping is offered for orders totaling $200 CAD or more before taxes, placed on novaforequipement.com and novaforequipment.com.

• This offer is valid only for delivery addresses within Canada.

Restrictions on Oversized Items:
• Oversized items/orders and / or with a total weight exceeding 100 lbs, requiring shipment by freight carriers, are not eligible for free shipping.

• Some larger items may qualify for free shipping for specific quantities (such as ropes). However, please note that restrictions may apply for higher quantities.

Exceptions for Certain Regions:
Shipments to remote locations such as Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and other rural areas may be subject to restrictions and are not eligible for free shipping.

Additional Conditions:
• The free shipping offer does not apply during certain promotional events and in combination with certain discounts, notably Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Novafor Days, unless otherwise specified.

• Free shipping applies only to items in stock, excluding clearance items.

Ordering Process:
• To qualify for free shipping, your order must reach a total of $200 CAD or more before the addition of taxes, fees, or delivery charges.

• Free shipping will be carried out via the standard shipping service of our chosen carrier, unless otherwise specified.

Exclusions of Items:
• Certain items, such as oversized, overweight, hazardous goods, and items requiring special handling, are not eligible for the free shipping offer.

• Items excluded from free shipping: aerosol paints, bear spray, fire extinguishers, etc.

Modification Conditions:
The free shipping offer is subject to change without notice.

Return of Items/Orders:
• Product or order returns are at the customer’s expense.

• Before returning goods, please contact us at 450 818-2121 or 1 844 434-1166 to obtain a return authorization number and a copy of your invoice/delivery note. This packing slip MUST be printed and included with the return shipment for processing. Customers are responsible for return fees, unless you have received a defective product or we have sent the wrong item by mistake.

Return policy
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the equipment you have purchased from us, we are happy to offer a 45 DAY return and/or exchange policy on most products provided that they remain in their original condition, in their original packaging, with tags and unused.

Eligible items may be returned or exchanged in-store at any time within the 45-day return/exchange period. We are also happy to help arrange return shipping if you are unable to visit one of our physical locations.

Before returning goods to us, please fill out the form located here to obtain a return authorization number and a copy of your invoice/delivery note. This packing slip MUST be printed and included with the return shipment for processing. Customers are responsible for return postage unless you received a defective product or we sent the wrong item by mistake.

Refunds or exchanges may take 2-3 weeks to be completed.

The following items are exempt and cannot be returned or exchanged

  • Fall protection and survival equipment
  • Special order / custom order
  • Clearance Items
  • Non-stock items
  • Custom spliced ​​item
  • Any item that has been washed, worn, used or altered
  • Gift cards
  • First aid and healthcare supplies (i.e. reusable respirators, CPR masks, insect repellent, hand sanitizer, etc.)

No items can be returned or exchanged between December 22 and January 5. These dates will be deducted from the 45-day return window, if any, and will not affect it.

Please note that items cannot be returned after 45 days from date of receipt. If there is a problem with your order, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to resolve any issues to your satisfaction.

All shipping and customs clearance costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Return / exchanges under warranty

While we stand behind the manufacturer-warranted products we offer, some require that we physically return the product(s) to them for inspection before granting us authorization to provide a refund, credit, or warranty replacement.

Any defective product must be returned to us, at the customer’s expense, upon request for visual assessment and examination.

If a returned product is found to be defective according to the manufacturer, we will replace, credit or repair in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines/instructions.

We accept no responsibility for the terms of any manufacturer’s warranties and/or decisions they make regarding replacement or refund of products covered by such warranties, and we will not replace items until we are authorized to do so by the manufacturer. As a result, immediate over the counter returns and exchanges for in-warranty items are not always available.

Most of our orders are shipped within 48 hours.

Note that when the package leaves our warehouse, we are no longer responsible for delays encouraged by the carrier.

Import duties and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. They are the customer’s responsibility.

Canada
Shipping costs are calculated automatically on our website based on your address.

Some addresses may have additional charges given their location. Examples include Air Zone locations (locations where mail must be flown more than 6 months per year), Northern and Remote Regions — a location that is far from major urban centers or receives infrequent service.

Please note that we are not responsible for any remote area overage fees or customs clearance fees.

International
Since we are based in Canada, international packages may be subject to duties and taxes. International buyers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, tariffs or duties levied by their respective government.

Additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by the recipient. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check your local customs website for more information.

Novafor Equipment has no control over these charges and we cannot determine or predict what they may be.

It is possible to modify your order as long as it has not been completed by our team and left our warehouse. This option is only valid by phone.

Please note that given the time allowed for your order modification, additional shipping and handling charges may apply.

Yes! However, please keep in mind that our products are sold exclusively for use by professional arborists or other fully trained and qualified professionals to examine their equipment and determine if it is adequate to operate in the intended environment.

Some equipment is not intended for use by persons who have not received full professional training.

Since we are based in Canada, international packages may be subject to duties and taxes. International buyers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, tariffs or duties levied by their respective government.

Novafor Equipment has no control over these charges and we cannot determine or predict what they may be.

Retail sales taxes apply to taxable orders based on shipping destination. Our online ordering system is able to only apply exemptions based on the tax status of the goods and not the buyer. If you qualify for a tax exemption that has not been applied to your order, please file the applicable refund request with your provincial tax office.

Sales taxes are collected on Canadian orders only, we do not collect tax on international orders (outside of Canada). See International Orders below.

You can make an appointment with one of our representatives for a personalized presentation either in one of our two stores or near your premises.

For the moment, the service of presentations outside our premises is only offered in certain cities of Quebec and Ontario. Call us for more details: 450 818-2121 or 1 844 434-1166.

Since we are located in Canada, all our prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars ($).
