The “PRESSLER” probe is used to extract a core
from the tree for various analyzes. It has a
pleasant blue plastic handle and a metal lock.
Drill bits are made of hardened steel with a PTFE
coating for protection and reduced friction. The
extractors are made of stainless steel and shaped
to extract the wood cores with greater ease. For
optimum penetration depth, the probe bit should
be approximately one-half to three-quarters of
the shaft diameter. Available in several lengths
and diameters.
